THE GUILD OF THE LAS CRUCES SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION
The Guild of the Las Cruces Symphony Association was established in 1981 as an affiliate organization of the LCSA. Through the years, the Las Cruces Symphony Guild has assisted with programs to enhance the orchestra’s educational outreach.
These include “student rush” ticket sales allowing all area students, ages 7 and up, the opportunity to attend a Classics concert for $10; admitting NMSU music majors to the Sunday Classics concerts free of charge; stipends for NMSU student musicians; and Lonnie’s Spotlight Luncheons, which offer insight into the upcoming Classics concert. We welcome and encourage your participation in our endeavors. Please call 575-646-3709 for membership information.
LONNIE’S SPOTLIGHT LUNCHEONS
Lonnie’s Spotlight Luncheons offer insight into the upcoming Classics concert and are hosted by the Las Cruces Symphony Association’s Guild. Spend a delightful lunch with our music director and conductor the Thursday before a concert and learn the story behind the music. Become a member of the guild and get a reduced rate for these lunches while supporting the guild’s other programs. Please call Guild Chairperson Mernie Burden at 575-646-3709 for membership information. Luncheons are at 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays the week of the concert. Dr. Klein’s presentation begins at noon.
Paisano Café, 1740 Calle de Mercado, Mesilla, New Mexico
Tickets for non-guild members are $20 at the door (cash/check only please when paying at the door) or purchase all four luncheons for $81. Guild member ticket price – $16
