Strategic Plan
Dear Symphony Patrons,
Outlined in this document you will find the Las Cruces Symphony Association's Strategic Plan (2010-2013). The Board of Directors spent many weeks in retreat and in committees to review our past and to seek a shared and defined vision for the future. The initiatives associated with our plan enables the Board of Directors to work collectively and move toward the future with renewed confidence and energy. Please take time to review our mission/goals/objectives as they relate to our artistic, educational, financial and operations.
As President, I take great pride in the rich history (please see the A Symphony Blooms in the Desert--Its History below) of service that the Orchestra provides to the broader Las Cruces Community. We engage over 70 local musicians each classics cycle featuring world class guest artists.
We have broadened genres with the addition of both Pops and chamber music concerts. Additionally, our "Music in Our Schools" program reaches thousands of our area students. Our student stipend program provides deserving university students a chance to perform with the Las Cruces Symphony.
In addition to enhancing the quality of lives in the greater community, there is no doubt about the economic impact the orchestra has on our area is substantial. Arts dollars flow directly back to our community.
Of course none of this is possible without our season ticket subscribers, individual concert sponsors and donors, corporate sponsors and grants. I sincerely applaud and thank you for your support of this wonderful artistic gem that blooms in the desert! I am also most grateful for the Music Director, musicians, staff and volunteers in the Association's family. They all make our lives much richer!
