Music Director's Message

 Greetings Symphony Patrons,

I am delighted to share with you the Las Cruces Symphony Association's Strategic Plan.  Outlined here you will find valuable information about the orchestra and its impact in the community.

Even as we were preparing this document, I was delighted by the many accomplishments of the orchestra.  Highlights include the addition of a Pops concert, expanded outreach programs, six works commissioned by the LSCA, two performances on NPR's Performance Today heard nationally; a chamber concert program presented in the beautifully restored historic Rio Grande Theatre in downtown Las Cruces; stellar guest artists and the continued artistic growth of the orchestra.

As the largest cultural organization in the broader Las Cruces community, the orchestra's economic impact is far reaching.  Please read the many quotes from our political leaders, guest artists, musicians, patrons and the university administration.  Clearly, the orchestra has a dramatic impact on the cultural fabric in the community.

I am proud and deeply honored to be the Music Director of the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra, and clearly we will continue to bloom in the desert.

"My husband Paul and I have truly enjoyed the LCSA
performances: the quality of the programming and
musicianship of the orchestra are superb.  We wish
the LCSO a long and rich tradition of continuing success."
